As well as our core team, Iceni benefits greatly from the additional support of its ever-growing team of volunteers who assist people coming into Iceni in a number of different ways
Our volunteers are integral to the team here at Iceni and are greatly valued. We invite and encourage collaboration to find what is best for families.

How can you help?
Volunteer therapists are able to use their skills to support more families, sharing their expertise in their specialist field.
Some counsellors give back a set amount of free therapy to those in need whilst earning in their private practice elsewhere.
Student placements – we have good links with local training providers and universities and welcome student counsellors looking for a placement to work alongside our qualified team (registered to the appropriate governing bodies). This partnership not only allows them to share their expertise and to be part of a vital counselling service but also gain valuable experience to aid their education and further their career.

What people say
It’s a nice environment, the people are friendly and it’s very family orientated. Rachel
Volunteering is important to me in order to be equipped and ready for my placement. I value their philosophy and everything Iceni stands for. I feel privileged and proud to be part of the team. Nicci
I am volunteering at Iceni because of a family tragedy that involved addiction. This charity supported me and my family through an extremely dark period, and therefor want to give something back. Katrina
